Born in Ballina, built on quality. This is the story of Richmond River Roofing.
More than 15 years on the tools, a lifetime in the Northern Rivers and a simple promise: every roof done properly.
Richmond River Roofing Pty Ltd is owned and run by Joe Chapman, a Ballina local who has spent more than 15 years working on roofs across the Northern Rivers. Joe started the business for a simple reason. He kept seeing roofs that had been patched, rushed or done on the cheap, and he knew the region deserved better.
Growing up here, Joe learned early what the coastal climate does to a roof. Salt air eats cheap fasteners. Summer storms find every weak point. Heavy rain punishes poor drainage. That first-hand knowledge shapes how he approaches every job, from material selection through to the final screw.
Today Richmond River Roofing serves homeowners and businesses across Ballina, Lennox Head, Cumbalum, Alstonville, Wollongbar and Wardell. Joe quotes every job himself, works on every roof alongside his small team, including an apprentice learning the trade the right way, and stands behind every result. When you call, you are not getting a call centre or a sales rep. You are getting a local tradesman who cares about his reputation in his own community.
From new roofs and re-roofing to repairs, restorations and guttering, we cover everything above your walls.
We provide a full range of metal roofing services for residential and commercial clients across the Northern Rivers, including:
Every job uses premium Australian-made materials, including BlueScope Colorbond steel and Metroll roofing products, chosen to handle local conditions for the long term.
Plenty of roofers can quote a job. Here is why locals choose Joe.
Joe quotes the job, works on the roof with his team and checks the finish himself. There is no gap between the person who promised the quality and the person delivering it.
A roof at Lennox Head faces different conditions to a roof at Alstonville. Joe has worked on both for years and builds for the specific conditions your home faces.
We diagnose the real cause of every problem and fix it properly. It is the reason so much of our work comes from repeat customers and word of mouth.
Richmond River Roofing Pty Ltd is a licensed roof plumbing business (Licence No 348533C) and fully insured, so you have complete peace of mind from the moment we step on your roof.
Based in Ballina, we service the coast, the plateau and the river.
